Lucifer's Night

The land down under
keeps her awaiting,
careless, portraying innocence,
hungry for a fragile heart.

Drawn by her turquoise eyes,
i confused the unnerving heat
for a winter fleece,
an idyllic summertime.

Her whispers, ocean waves,
can drown any aching heart;
all i wanted was to be held,
escape from the southern fate.

It takes one night,
a longing heart,
eyes on the sky and
the sweetness of Lucifer's mouth.

Don't fall in summer,
an angel warns my needy heart.
Remain open, not longing;
Lucifer watches from above.

Her eyes are not the stars,
her caramel skin not the sand.
It's not the moon,
but her silk nightgown.

Sweet kisses from hell
she paints the sea as the sky.
At dawn, innocents will yield
to Lucifer's chant.
